Gogoi inaugurates university campus

SIVASAGAR, Oct 7 � Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi recently inaugurated the temporary campus of the Assam Rajiv Gandhi University of Cooperative Management in presence of the Minister for DoNER Paban Singh Ghatowar and Minister of State for Cooperation Siddique Ahmed and other dignitaries.

The university will hold its first training programme for three days for 30 cooperators.

Inaugurating the campus at Sivasagar Natya Mandir, Gogoi hoped that the cooperative movement would fulfil the dreams of the common people. He said cooperative is the only means for ensuring economic independence of the rural people. Ghatowar in his speech mentioned about assistance from DoNER for building infrastructure of the university. Siddique Ahmed outlined the various aspects of the university. Sivasagar DC Jatindra Lahkar, Parliament Secretary (Finance) Sarat Saikia, MLA Sushanta Borgohain and other dignitaries were present on the occasion.
