Gogoi given plasma therapy

GUWAHATI, Sept 1 - The health condition of former Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi slightly deteriorated last night. However, he was fine by morning.

Gogoi was admitted at the GMCH after he tested positive for COVID-19.

�There was a sudden fall in oxygen saturation to 88 per cent at 11.30 pm. The team of doctors supervising his health immediately decided to give 1 unit of plasma with 2 lits of oxygen on mask. O2 saturation now is maintained between 96 to 97 per cent,� Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted.

The Health Minister visited GMCH last night to inquire about Gogoi�s health. Sarma also had a telephonic conversation with Gogoi�s son Gaurav.
