GOALPARA, Dec 10 - The 11-hour Assam bandh called by the NESO was peaceful in Goalpara. Demonstrations by various student bodies including members of the AASU (Goalpara district unit), SFI, DYFI besides left political parties CPI(M), CPI were seen across the district and separate rallies were taken out from various locations in Goalpara town as well as in the district.
The members of AASU joined by Polytechnic Students� Society shouting slogans against the government�s decision to implement CAB, 2019 brought out a protest rally from the Goalpara polytechnic which snaked through the town while Left student and youth organisations organised a kavi sanmilan and street corner meetings at the BOC point of Goalpara town.
