GNLA cadre surrenders in Garo Hills

TURA, Feb 26 � A hardcore cadre of the Garo National Liberation Army (GNLA) surrendered before the West Garo Hills police with arms and ammunition yesterday.

The cadre then led a police team to a place where some crude bombs and IED were kept hidden.

He surrendered with one AK 81 rifle, three magazines and 27 live rounds.

Upon his leading the West Garo Hills police team and the CRPF men, the latter were able to recover one crude bomb from near Kherapara Nokat, about 35 kms from Tura.
