GUWAHATI, March 11 � Dhiren Baruah, Chairman, GMDA has welcomed the proposals put forward by Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi for development of Guwahati city like construction of a six lane bridge between Narengi and Kuruwa, development of Adabari bus station, development of Brahmaputra riverside, improvement of existing drainage system, development of Umananda and Nabagraha temple, saying these will not only develop the city of Guwahati but also the rural economy of north and south banks of river Brahmaputra, a press relase stated.
