GUWAHATI, March 24 - As a preventive measure to arrest the spread of coronavirus, the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has decided to sprinkle disinfectants at different areas of the city from this evening till March 29 with the help of the State Fire and Emergency Services.
The assemble points assigned for the firetenders are � Dispur Supermarket/Fire Station Centre, Guwahati Club Point, GMCH, Bhangagarh, Mazar Road near ASTC, Adabari Bus Station and Lokhra Chariali.
�We will try to cover maximum areas under Guwahati city amid the coronavirus pandemic starting this evening.
Shops, parks, rubbish bins, public toilets, markets, supermarkets, hospitals, schools, etc, will be senitised during the six-day drive,� GMC Commissioner Devajyoti Hazarika in a statement said.
