GUWAHATI, Nov 17 � The Fancy Bazar Municipal Market Dealers Association today called off its three-day bandh of the market.
�The GMC Commissioner met us this morning and listened to our grievances and assured to solve our problems. He asked us to lift the bandh and we decided to do so,� said a member of the Association.
It is noteworthy that the Association alleged that during the cleanliness campaign under Nirmal Asom Abhijaan conducted at the GMC Market yesterday morning, an untoward incident took place at the behest of a �controversial businessman� of the area.
