GMC launches software to improve garbage collection

GUWAHATI, Oct 29 - The Guwahati Development Department (GDD) Minister Siddhartha Bhattacharya today launched a software of the Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) on public feedback on garbage collection by the NGOs in the city.

Based on public feedback, enquiry will be done by the Corporation.�Public can visit the link�https://gmcassam.in/feedback/�to place their feedback on the garbage collection by the NGOs.

The GMC in a statement stated that the Corporation has already terminated contracts with six NGOs on the basis of public complaints.

There are more than 90 NGOs in the city that collect garbage on behalf of the Corporation from the doorsteps of people.
