GUWAHATI, March 26 - The Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) has decided to hold a final hearing of all the pending building permission applications on May 3, 4, 10 and 11 at its Uzanbazar office before making the process entirely online.
The Corporation has requested all the applicants to submit the accurate maps and other necessary documents before April 30 so that the pending applications can be processed smoothly.
It may be noted that GMC has already upgraded the building permission process to an online system and fresh applications are being processed online. However, a number of building permission applications are still pending at the GMC office for long, due to some technical errors in the maps or lack of other necessary documents.
�The Corporation wants to dispose of all the pending applications within a stipulated time. So, all such applicants are asked to submit the corrected maps and other documents well within the time at the helpdesk of the GMC office during office hours,� a GMC statement said.
After May 11, all the pending offline applications will be invalidated and the applicants will have to give fresh applications online.
