GUWAHATI, Nov 5 - On the penultimate day of the 1st Guwahati Open Sub-Junior Tennis Championship, eighth seeded Anannya Jamir caused upset defeating fourth seed Supriya Borgohain in the U-14 girl�s in a quarterfinal match at the Nurul Amin Tennis Complex courts here today.
In the girl�s U-14 and 12 categories other seeded players reached semifinals. In the boy�s U-12 and U-14 groups also all the seeded players made it to the last-four stage in the meet organised by the Guwahati Lawn Tennis Association.
The finals will start from 7.30 am tomorrow while the closing function will be held at 3.00 pm.
