Girl rescued from trafficker at Chaparmukh

RAHA, Oct 16 - The Government Railway Police Force personnel (GRPF) at Chaparmukh on Saturday night rescued a 10-year-old girl from Kolongpar passenger train heading towards Nagaon from Guwahati.

The police also arrested a man identified as Rafiqul Islam, a resident of Sonari village, Dhing on charges of kidnapping the girl. According to the girl, she had been taken away by Kapili intercity train to Guwahati by the accused while she was playing at the Nagaon railway station with her friends at noon unnoticed by her mother and friends.

According to the police, the girl hails from Naramari village, Nagaon and was kidnapped by the accused to hand over her to a trafficking racket in Guwahati.
