GUWAHATI, April 21 - The minor girl whose body was found floating in the Brahmaputra at Kharghuli on April 18 died after she accidentally drowned in the river. This was revealed to the police by the three boys who were with her when the incident took place.
According to the trio, who are minors, they had gone to the riverside during that day to enjoy their spare time. They all went to the river to take a bath but the girl drowned there accidentally.
�We have recorded their statement and will produce them before juvenile justice board after getting the postmortem report,� said Pahary Konwar, Assistant Commissioner of Police (Panbazar).
