JALUKBARI, March 13 - A geographers� meet on the occasion of annual academic session of the North-East India Geographical Society (NEIGS), will be held at Pragjyotish College here under the auspices of its Department of Geography.
The geographers� meet will be held with a daylong programme in the first part of April, according to a press release.
The main objective of the meet is to provide a platform for geography practitioners to present their research works pertaining to different fields of geography. Besides, there will be presentation of invited lectures by senior geographers.
All members of geography fraternity including teachers and research scholars can send abstracts of research papers within 200 words on any geographical theme for presentation in the technical sessions of the event so as to reach Prof Bimal K Kar, general secretary, NEIGS, Department of Geography, Gauhati University ([email protected]) latest by March 30.
