GCCC go down in semi finals

DIBRUGARH, March 5 - In the well contested second semifinal of the JKM Trophy Prize-money Cricket Tournament at the Jalan Outdoor Stadium, Boiragimath, here today Cricket Club of Dibrugarh (Blue) prevailed over Guwahati Cricket Coaching Centre (GCCC) by 4 wickets.

On Sunday�s final match of the championship, organised by the Cricket Club of Dibrugarh (CCD), will now be played between Cricket Club of Dibrugarh (Blue) and Bud Cricket Club (Guwahati).

Winning the toss, GCCC opted to bat and were all out for 123 in 30 overs. Bikash Chetri of the Guwahati team scored 33 runs off 58 balls with four boundaries. Joy Singh Yadav hit four sixers off ten balls that he faced, before getting out for 28. In reply, the Dibrugarh team were 127 for 6 in 29.1 overs. Amit Sinha ( 39 not out) and Prasanta Sonowal (23 not out) were the notable contributors for the winning team. Amit Sinha was declared man of the match.
