GCC boys� hostel golden jubilee in Dec

GUWAHATI, Sept 15 - A two-day programme would be organised to commemorate the golden jubilee of Gauhati Commerce College Boys� Hostel (GCCBH) on December 28 and 29.

At a meeting of past and present boarders of GCCBH, it was decided that several sub-committees will be set up for organising the programme. The meeting was convened under the presidentship of Gokul Kumar Sarma, a past boarder. A proposal to publish a magazine, organise a cultural event and host an inter-hostel sports event and other competitions was passed during the meeting.

Gauhati Commerce College Principal Dr Homeswar Kalita, Dr Rati Kanta Pathak, Manik Chandra Kalwar, Dr Ramen Barman, Dilip Kumar Sarma and Guru Prasad Nath, among others, shared their inputs at the meeting.

Seeking cooperation of all past and present boarders, Jishu Ranjan Chaliha, general secretary of the celebration committee, urged the boarders to enrol their names, addresses and contact details and make the event a huge success.
