TURA, May 7 - A 22 year-old woman from Makre Adap village under Kharkutta Police Station in North Garo Hills has gone missing since March 26 with a desperate family suspecting trafficking to be the reason for her disappearance.
Sasitha G Momin, who worked as a domestic help in the house of a sub inspector in Shillong was apparently on her way home to Makre Adap from Shillong but never reached home. She has since been missing with the last contact with the family being made in the middle of April last.
�Her number has been out of reach. But she called a few times from different numbers narrating that she was being led by different men and was most possibly in Manipur. We filed an FIR in Kharkutta PS on April 13 but there is word on her whereabouts,� said the father.
