GUWAHATI, July 30 - Gargee Goswami of Guwahati continued her domination in State table tennis as after winning triple crown in the recently concluded 5th Nagen Hazarika All Assam Major Ranking Table Tournament, she again won triple crown in the 9th RG Baruah All Assam Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament which concluded at the Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium here today. She won the junior girls, youth girls and women�s titles respectively.
Shankab Gautam Baruah of OIL clinched double crown in the championship by claiming youth boys and men�s titles.
In the closing function, Director, Assam Tribune Group of Publications Babita Rajkhowa, former national TT champions and Arjuna awardees Kamlesh Mehta, Monalisa Baruah Mehta, noted TT players Nandini Baruah, Madalasa Baruah, Sankar Dutta Lahkar, among others were present in the closing function and they addressed briefly before distributing the prizes.
Assam Table Tennis Association secretary Tridib Duvarah while welcoming the gathering said that the game of table tennis is gradually gaining its past glory as the State has been able to produce some talented youngsters.
