GUWAHATI, Sept 11 � Ganesh Chaturthi was celebrated in the State along with the rest of the country today.
The city too had its fair share of the celebrations. Devotees turned out in large numbers in the beautifully-decorated Ganesh temples. The Ganesh temples at Latashil, Ganeshguri and Ninth-Mile (Na-mile) drew a large number of devotees since morning who braved the rains to be a part of the festivities.
Ganesh Chaturthi marks the beginning of the festive season as per the Hindu calendar.
