GUWAHATI, Oct 1 � The 142nd Gandhi Jayanti will be observed in the State along with the rest of the country tomorrow.
In the city too, several functions are scheduled for paying homage to the Father of the Nation.
The Asom Khadi and Gramodyog Board will observe the day with a community sutra yajna at 9 am, to be followed by Gandhi prarthana, an open meeting, all-religion prayer and shraddhanjali.
The Gandhi Mandap atop the Sarania hill will also host a function under the aegis of the Kamrup (Metro) district administration.
