SILAPATHAR, March 16 - The political parties of Jonai constituency, especially the Congress, BJP and Sanmilita Gana Shakti, have geared up political activities after the announcement of poll dates.
The Sanmilita Gana Shakti candidate of Jonai constituency, Bhubon Pegu, announced his candidature for the Assembly elections by filing his nomination papers at Jonai on Monday.
Addressing the mediapersons at Jonai, Bhubon Pegu said that alliance with the Congress cannot be ruled out stating that Dr Ronuj Pegu, chief of the Mising Autonomous Council, who is in Delhi with Congress high command for the final confirmation. He said that the party is on the right track and urged the public to support them.
