GUWAHATI, Nov 14 - City Police today arrested a teer mafia, Alok Jain, and three of his accomplices - Seuprasad Thapa, Devendra Gupta and Subhash Das from Athgaon area under Bharalumukh Police Station.
Gambling dice, 161 signed cheques, one .32 pistol whose license had expired in 2011, 68 rounds of ammunition have been seized from Jain�s residence, besides over 27 bank passbooks. Cases under Gambling Act and Arms Act have been registered against him. Searches were being conducted at his residence and those of his accomplices till late in the evening. Jain was arrested in the year 2014 as well.
