DHUBRI, Oct 21 - In a drive against illegal gambling at various locations of the district, police arrested four gamblers and seized a cash amount of Rs 20,000 from their possession.
It was informed that police nabbed two persons, namely, Fazlur Rahman, aged about 58 years and Debabroto Saha, aged about 29 years from Tamarhar area; one from Alomgaanj bazaar area, namely, Abu Bakkar Ali, aged about 40 years and one from Golakganj bazaar area named Raju Saha, aged about 35 years.
Meanwhile, in another drive in Dhubri town area, one drug peddler identified as Sahbuddin Mollah, a resident of Aironjangala Part 3, was arrested along with 72 bottles of contraband cough syrup.
