SILCHAR, June 20 - People belonging to the Bishnupriya community across the Barak Valley have condoled the passing away of Gadishwar Prangopal Mukherjee (90), a pious elderly person who died on June 12.
In a condolence meeting held recently on the premises of Radha Gopinath Mandap of Ghagrarpar area here, the speakers reflected upon the life and works of Mukherjee in the uplift of the community.
Noted physician Dr Deben Sinha said Mukherjee had left an indelible mark through his works for the larger interest of the people from the Bishnupriya Manipuri community and his demise is an irreparable loss for everyone.
