Future cops get tips to face recruitment test in Garo Hills

TURA, March 19 - The district civil and police administration of South West Garo Hills on Saturday made their pitch to empower �future cops� for the upcoming police recruitment written examination scheduled for March 24-April 1 next.

At least 300 candidates from the district, who have cleared the physical endurance test, were engaged in a day-long drill where they were given tips, do�s and don�ts and correct ways of filling up optical mark recognition (OMR) sheets. The candidates were also given lessons in English, Mathematics and General Knowledge.

For the past two years, students from Garo hills have been successfully appearing for different examinations with confidence, as they are being skilled and equipped with knowledge.

Last year, 60 candidates from Garo Hills had qualified for Indian Army. This year, 17 new police stations are being established in the State and about 1,700 personnel are being recruited in special force � 10 and the State police.
