NEW DELHI, April 22 (PTI): Indian boxing could be thrown into turmoil with speculation rife that the sports governing body, Boxing India, is on the verge of disintegration and its president Sandeep Jajodia might even resign at its executive committee (EC) meeting here tomorrow.

Boxing India, which has been fighting to get recognition from the Indian Olympic Association, stands a house divided with 16 of the 20 EC members deciding today that they would not attend the meeting called by Jajodia on technical grounds.

We had requested for a general body meeting but there was no response from Mr Jajodia on this. As far as the EC meeting is concerned, only the secretary general is authorised to call it, not the president. So, on technical grounds, we will not attend the meeting, one of the EC members told PTI.
