GUWAHATI, Jan 13 � A major disaster was averted today when fire in the engine of a fuel-carrying train was doused timely in Golaghat district, reports UNI
Official sources said the engine of a train with 51 bogies, which had left Numaligarh Refinery in the morning, caught fire at Adharsatra railway station at around 9.30 am. The fire was brought under control immediately and authorities ensured that it did not spread to the bogies, which could have led to a major disaster.
Technical fault is suspected to be the cause of the incident.
