GUWAHATI, July 27: Frontier Club emerged champions in the GSA B Division Football League defeating Rising XI in the final at the Nehru Stadium here today.
The match was locked 0-0 in regulation time and in tie breaker both the teams netted 5 goals each. In the sudden death Frontier managed to shoot home while Rising failed to convert.
Amarjyoti Nath of the winning team was named best player.
Next year Frontier Club will play in the GSA A Division League.
Arambag relegated: River Rine Club defeated Arambag Club 4-2 in the relegation match.
