AIZAWL, Sept 22 - People in Mizoram capital Aizawl will be able to avail free WiFi soon as Aizawl Municipal Corporation (AMC) is all set to complete the installation of free WiFi here within this year.
�We are planning to complete the installation of free WiFi within this year�, AMC Mayor PC Lalhmingthanga said.
He said that tender has been already floated to do the installation work but only one person responded to the tender. A fresh tender would be floated soon, he added. It has been planned that free WiFi will be installed in nine locations of Aizawl city. But it may be reduced to six locations depending on the financial capacity.
The MNF-led AMC has promised to install free WiFi in Aizawl city in its election manifesto and the meeting of Board of Councillors has already approved it.
