Free eye camp held at Jagiroad

JAGIROAD, Oct 4 - A free eye and cataract detection camp was organised by the Lions Club of Jagiroad and Lions Club of Guwahati Anmol in association with the Sri Sankardeva Netralaya, Beltola, Guwahati at the Lions Service Centre premises here recently.

Altogether 250 eye patients were checked and 102 of them were found to have cataract. Free medicines were also distributed. The president of Lions Club of Guwahati Anmol, Jitendra Agarwalla told this correspondent that the patients detected to have cataract will be operated phase wise at the Sri Sri Sankaradeva Nethralaya, on October 11, 15 and 17 respectively.
