Free coaching classes by AASU concludes

BAIHATA CHARIALI, Aug 2 � Under the aegis of Karara central unit of AASU, a series of free coaching classes for the students of Class IX and X were held at Bindia Anchalik High School from July 3 which ended on July 29.

In the coaching classes more than two hundred students from ten schools of the locality participated. In the free coaching classes general science were taught by a group of skilled teachers. Moreover, in the coaching classes a series of English report writing classes were also held by the reporter of reputed English daily specially for the students of class X.

On July 29 a closing ceremony of the free coaching classes was held at the school premises under the presidentship of Umesh Kalita where the AASU activists felicitated the teachers who rendered services to the free coaching classes. On the day the students of the coaching classes arranged some dance and music, comedy, group song, single acting and cordial meet with the teachers, to make the day attractive.

In the closing ceremony Dharmeswar Das and Prakash Das president and secretary of AASU, Kamrup District Committee (KDC) respectively Kamal Deka vice president of AASU, KDC, Tarani Charan Kalita and Gautam Kumar Deka secretary and member of Kamrup district Journalists Association respectively, Mohan Chandra Deka, principal of Gateway Academy, Achyut Patowary, headmaster of Bindia Anchalik High School and many other social workers, teachers, and AASU activists were present.

The president and secretary of AASU, KDC donated a special educational fund to Suresh Sarma, a blind student of the locality who belongs to BPL category for his higher education. In the programme prizes of examination held during the classes were also distributed among the successful students.
