Free clay lamps distributed by BJYM

GUWAHATI, Oct 27 - In an attempt to promote pottery and generate awareness about celebrating Diwali in an eco-friendly manner, members of BJYM, Assam Pradesh, distributed free earthen lamps to members of the public as a token of gift on the auspicious occasion. The distribution programme will continue for three days with effect from today.

Senior members of the BJP joined the youth wing of the organisation to motivate them. The distribution of earthen lamps was held at Paltanbazar from 1 pm to 3 pm. The programme was attended by Mukuta Deka, former president, BJP city district; Diplu Ranjan Sarma, president, BJYM, Assam Pradesh, and office-bearers and executive members of both State and Guwahati city district committees of the BJYM.

BJYM, Assam Pradesh members informed that in the next two days, earthen lamp distribution will take place at about 10 spots in Guwahati.
