Free bus service for students in Dibrugarh

DIBRUGARH, Jan 6 - A new bus was introduced on Friday under the equity initiative scheme of the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA), Assam, to pick women and differently-abled students of DHSK College, DHSK Commerce College and MDKG College for transportation from DHSK College to Dibrugarh University.

The newly introduced bus was flagged off on Friday morning by eminent writer and academician Dr Nagen Saikia in the presence of benefactor JP Kanoi, DHSK College principal Dr Sashikanta Saikia, MDKG College principal Dr Dilip Kumar Bhuyan and principal of DHSK Commerce College, Dr KM Bhagawati.

The free transportation facility with some specific stops will start from the Dibrugarh University gate at 8 am and return from the DHSK College at 3 pm to drop the passenger students on the same route plan. The bus is also equipped with a CCTV camera inside.
