GUWAHATI, April 14: Another case of COVID-19 has been detected in Goalpara � the fourth in the district, taking the state's tally to 31.
District administration sources said the fourth patient was part of a group which participated in the Tablighi Jamaat congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz in New Delhi.
�He was in a quarantine camp and had earlier tested negative. Before releasing him for home quarantine, another test was conducted, which came out positive for the novel coronavirus,� the sources said.
Goalpara district had earlier reported three COVID-19 positive cases. Two of these three had attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation, while the third had got infected from the group.
Except one, the rest 30 cases of the state are linked to Nizamuddin area in Delhi. One COVID-19 positive patient has died in the state so far.
