SILAPATHAR, Oct 24 - Foundation stones for a modern cultural stage and Murong Okum was laid at Silapathar Donyi Polo Cultural Complex today in a traditional manner. The cultural complex will be built at a cost of Rs 96 Lakh.
The foundation stones of the open stage and Murong Okum was laid by local MLA of Jonai LAC Bhuban Pegu. In this regard, a meeting was held in the Donyi Polo complex. The meeting was presided over by president of Donyi Polo Cultural complex Bhaba Kanta Doley. Several people like MLA Bhuban Pegu, EC of Mising Autonomous Council Johan Doley, GM of MAC Pratap Taye, Deputy Speaker of MAC Kanak Chandra Doley, EC of MAC Jogeswar Kutum, Social worker Nabin Chandra Kardong, among others, spoke on the occasion.
