Raising of the platform at the station is a long-standing demand of the people here. A number of organisations have time and again pressed for this demand.

A delegation of the Nagaon Senior Citizens Association met the higher authorities of the NF Railways recently and put forth this demand. The NF Railways deputed a technical body to Nagaon and asked it to submit a report.

On June 4, the DGM laid the foundation stone of raising the platform according to BG norms. Along with raising of the platform, a waiting room, toilet, drinking water facility and a passengers protection shed will also be constructed.
