Foundation stone of cricket pavilion laid

GUWAHATI, Nov 30 - On the occasion of 73rd� foundation day of Assam Cricket Association (ACA), Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal today laid the foundation stone of a cricket pavilion and a cricket ground to be� developed by ACA at Krira Kshetra, Kamalabari, Majuli in presence of MP Pradan Baruah.

ACA president Romen Dutta, secretary Devajit Saikia, vice president Porikshit Dutta, joint secretary Kamakhya Saikia, members of the apex council Naba Konwar, Tapash Chakraborty, Majuli DC Bikram Kairi were also present on the occasion.

Addressing the gathering, Sonowal expressed his satisfaction over ACA�s ambitious endeavour to develop the game of cricket in the picturesque river island district of Majuli. He hoped that Majuli will be able to produce cricketers of national and international repute after completion of the project.

Devajit Saikia revealed that the infrastructure will be completed within 6 to 8 months, stated an ACA release.
