GUWAHATI, Nov 4 - The Institute of Advanced Studies in Science and Technology (IASST) celebrated its 38th foundation day on Thursday.
The foundation day programme started with hoisting of the institute flag by Dr NC Talukdar, Director of the institute.
Prof Santanu Bhattacharya, Director, Indian Association for the Cultivation of Science, Kolkata, delivered the foundation day lecture on �Nanotechnology and related advanced materials through molecular gels�.
Prof Appa Rao Podile, Vice-Chancellor, University of Hyderabad, delivered a lecture on �Plant microbes interaction�.
The IASST also felicitated Prof Dhruba Jyoti Saikia, Vice Chancellor, Cotton College State University; Prof Sarbeswar Bujarbarua, former Director, Centre for Plasma Physics and Prof (retd) CM Sarma, Dept of Botany, Gauhati University.
Awards were also presented to the winners in various games held on the occasion.
