Foundation day of SBI

GUWAHATI, July 2 - State Bank of India, North Eastern Circle, celebrated its foundation day known as �Bank Day� on July 1 by organising various programmes, which included an art competition for children, felicitation of eminent personalities and a cultural event.

The programme was attended by Sunil Kumar Tandon, Chief General Manager; Digmanu Gupta and Ajay Kumar Singh, general managers, SBI North Eastern Circle along with other senior officials and employees of the bank with their families.

The event was attended by PVSLN Murty, Chief Strategy Officer, SBI Corporate Centre Mumbai, who was also the predecessor of Tandon.

The celebration had begun with a �Sit & Draw� competition amongst the wards of the employees at its local head-office on June 27.

The July 1 function was organised at the Srimanta Sankaradeva International Auditorium, Kalakshetra, Panjabari, where the bank felicitated three noted personalities � Kuladhar Saikia, DG, Assam Police; veteran actor Kulada Kr Bhattacharjee and Ratan Thiyam, internationally famed dramatist from Manipur.

The felicitation ceremony was followed by a cultural programme.
