GUWAHATI, April 23 � The NRL celebrated its 19th foundation day on Friday, a press release stated. It was on April 22, 1993 that the company came into being in fulfilment of the commitment made in the historic Assam Accord. True to its promise, the company has served as a nucleus of growth and has been able to provide significant thrust to the industrial development of the North East, thereby contributing towards the socio-economic development of Assam and the North East.
The NRL Day was celebrated with aplomb in all locations of the company, where employees got together to celebrate the occasion. At the functions held in its registered office in Guwahati, the NRL Day pledge was taken by the employees in Assamese, Hindi and English. This was followed by the rendition of the NRL theme song, which captures the spirit of the company�s march towards building a refinery at Numaligarh as well as its marketing network, thereby laying the foundation of a strong and vibrant enterprise. The NRL corporate film was also screened on the occasion.
In his message to all employees, NRL MD Dipak Chakravarty apprised the employees of the developments in the company and the road ahead. He also urged them to continue in their quest for excellence in all spheres of activities, while maintaining the highest standards of moral and ethical work practices and contribute meaningfully to the society at large, the release added.
