GUWAHATI, March 8 � The foundation day of Shree Gauhati Gaushala was celebrated at its Athgaon compound recently in presence of its trustees, members and eminent persons of the city.
Ram Gopal Harlalka, president of the institution, hoisted the flag. This was followed by �Gau Pujan.� After his welcome address and lighting of the lamp, the oldest employee of Gaushala was felicitated.
Jai Prakash Goenka, vice president of Gaushala, apprised the gathering of the history of Gaushala and the future plans and schemes undertaken by it. He added that the centenary celebrations of the institution would be celebrated in a befitting manner during the current year.
