IMPHAL, Jan 6 - The 42nd Foundation Day of Manipur Press Club was held here on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Secretary Nabakishore said the standard of journalism is developing both in print and electronic media in the State. He called for development of mobile phone Apps that will enable users to read local dailies on their mobile phones.
IPR Commissioner K Radhakumar said the need of the hour is objective assessment in reporting. He also appreciated the role of media in the society.
In his address, DGP Manipur Khaute said the relation between Police and media persons is improving in the recent past. The Manipur Press Club was established on January 6,1975.
