JORHAT, Oct 8 - Samshad Hussain (72), a resident of Rajabari area here and who is a former Advertising Manager of The Assam Tribune Group, has reportedly gone missing since October 4.
A police source said that family members of Hussain lodged a missing complaint at the Lichubari Police Outpost.
The source said that as per the complaint, Hussain has been missing since the afternoon of October 4. His two mobile phones have been found to be switched off.
The source said that according to family members of Hussain, his wife died sometime back. Hussain used to go out and spend time in places on the outskirts and return home thereafter.
The source said that police here have informed all police stations across the State about his case and has circulated the information in different WhatsApp groups of police officers in Jorhat and other districts.
Police have sought Call Details Record of both the phones of Hussain from the cyber cell of the district police to know about the locations he passed through on the day he went missing.
