PATACHARKUCHI, July 5 - Former MLA of Patacharkuchi LAC, Mohan Ch Das passed away this morning at his Pathsala residence after prolonged illness. He was from the AGP. He was around 83.
In the morning today, his condition deteriorated and he was brought to a local hospital where he breathed his last. Soon after the news of his demise broke, people from various walks of life, thronged his residence to pay their last respects.
He was the MLA of Patacharkuchi LAC in 1990. He was also associated with various local organisations including Bajali Sports Association till death and was a strong leader of the AGP. Pabindra Deka, the present MLA of Patacharkuchi LAC has mourned his death and said that the AGP has lost one strong leader and his loss will be irreplaceable.
Das left behind his wife, two sons, two daughters, sons-in-law and daughters-in-law and a host of well-wishers. His cremation will took place tomorrow soon after the arrival of his son.
