TURA, March 30 - The Congress campaign on Thursday was bolstered further after another former MLA, Rophul S Marak, joined the Congress in Baghmara in South Garo Hills district.
Rohpul was an independent MLA from Rongara-Siju and was placed second, behind the National People�s Party (NPP) candidate, Rakkam Sangma during the 2018 MLA elections.
Rophul was joined in the party yesterday by independent MDC, Kenadik S Marak (Rongara).
�We will be working for the Congress and our party�s candidate, Dr Mukul Sangma for the upcoming MP elections as we are convinced of the vision of the party in taking India forward,� said Rophul after joining the party.
