GUWAHATI, Oct 25 - A forest guard of Jorhat range was killed last night due to "accidental firing" from his gun while chasing a wild herd of elephants.
The incident took place at a remote area on the outskirts of Jorhat under Nimati beat of the Forest department.
The guard has been identified as Hemanta Tamuly (52). Jorhat DFO has ordered a probe.
