IMPHAL, Sept 23 - Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh inaugurated a footbridge located at Senapati, 60 km north of Imphal, through video conferencing from the Chief Minister�s Secretariat here today.
Ministers N Kayasi (Tribal Affairs and Hills), Losii Dikho (Public Health Engineering) and Awangbow Newmai (Forest and Environment), Secretary to the Chief Minister Ningthoujam Geoffrey were present during the video conferencing event.
Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister said that the Government is committed to ushering in inclusive development in the State. �We need to bring visible positive change and economic development in the hill areas of the State. Various welfare schemes have been implemented to uplift the lives of the people living in the remote areas of the State,� he added.
