GUWAHATI, April 8 - In view of the ongoing lockdown due to sudden outbreak of COVID-19, the poor people living in the State are facing hardships to run their families.
Worried over the situation, Karuna Kanta Pathak, Superintendent of the Assam Tribune Group, has come forward to extend help to the needy and poor people in Baksa district.
Pathak distributed essential items to 153 families of Angulia Sastar village in Baksa district.
Pathak, along with Narapati Das, Kamal Das, Abinash Sarmah and Durgeswar Pathak distributed the food items to the poor families at a simple function today, a press release stated.
The villagers have hailed the initiative.
Pathak also assured help to the people in the days to come.
