GUWAHATI, May 2 - Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation (SSSSO) Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh, through its Guwahati Samithi, distributed lunch packets to 200 police personnel at various locations in Guwahati on April 30, a press release stated.
The food packets were received by ADCP Sarmistha Barua on behalf of Assam Police from the campus of Sadhana Nilyam at Joorpukhuri.
Police personnel facilitated the distribution by visiting different deployment spots.
On May 1, SSSO distributed cooked food to 400 poor persons in areas near the Guwahati Railway Station.
While maintaining social distancing and hygiene, SSSSO president Satyen Sarma and Sri Sathya Sai Trust�s trustee Dr Gakul Das handed over the food packets to police personnel.
