Food fest offering delicacies from all over

GUWAHATI, Feb 5 � For the food buffs of the capital city, the food festival at the ongoing 22nd International Guwahati Trade Fair is providing an opportunity to satiate their taste buds with an array of delicacies from across the world.

This food festival has been included for the first time by the Industries and Trade Fair Association of Assam (ITFAA) which is organising the 22nd International Guwahati Trade Fair 2015 from January 29 to February 15 at the Maniram Dewan Trade Centre, Guwahati.

According to the organizers, the whole idea behind the food festival is to make the visit to the fair a family day apart from giving gastronomic delight to the foodies.

�The food festival has been attracting the Guwahatians. We want the visit to be a fun filled day for all, be it an 8 year old or a 70 year old,� said the organizers.

The International Food Court has outlets from Bangkok 1, Asian House, Inter Medi Mix, Arabian Night, Karachi Darbar, Chandni Chowk, Taste of India, Amritsari Rasoi and Rajasthani foods.

These outlets are catering dishes from Mexico, Thailand, Norway, Africa, Brazil, Germany, New Zealand, UAE, Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia and other Asian and Mediterranean countries.

It needs to be mentioned here that two internationally reputed chefs Somboon Sirithangkul popularly known as Tui and Supreecha Gunnalaykha are personally taking care of the international dishes prepared in the food court.

Tui has the experience of serving in countries like Saudi Arabia, Australia and numerous other countries.

�Till now Guwahati had festivals and events for fashion, design, music, ethnic delicacies but nothing for international food. Hence, ITFAA which believes in innovations and creativity decided to offer international food to the people of Guwahati,� mentioned the organizers.

Meanwhile, 22nd International Guwahati Trade Fair is witnessing huge response from the people with thousands of visitors visiting the fair regularly with great enthusiasm.
