Food bags distributed among poor

GUWAHATI, April 1 - The Maharaja Agrasen Charitable Trust (under Marwari Agarwal Samaj) has started distributing food items amongst the poor and needy families in and around Guwahati city with the help of the district administration. The Trust plans to distribute 5,000 bags of food items.

Social activist Ajay Poddar said each food bag contains rice 10 kg, dal 2 kg, potato 2.5 kg, salt 1 kg, oil 500 ml, bath soap one piece and masala one packet. The items will be sufficient for 15 days per family, he added.

Trust president Ramawatar Burakia, project chairman Ajay Poddar, trustees Madan Garg, Navin Singhal, Pradeep Gupta, Bhoop Singh Bansal, Rishi Gupta, Mahesh Jhuria and others took active part in distribution of food bags in different parts of the city today.
